With the retirement of Jeff GordonJimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are the top dogs at Hendrick Motorsports.

Earnhardt, entering his ninth season with Hendrick, is coming off consecutive seasons in which he won multiple races for the first time since 2003-2004.

Meanwhile, Johnson has won more than one race in all of his 14 Sprint Cup seasons. But despite winning four and five races the last two years, the No. 48 team finished in a double-digit point standing each year. Johnson finished sixth or better each season before that.

Earnhardt has never won more races than Johnson in a season.

Johnson has made the Chase for the Sprint Cup in each year of its existence, but made his earliest exits the last two years.

Earnhardt has qualified for the Chase in each of the last five years, but was eliminated after the second round in 2015.

Who do you think will have the better season in 2016?
