Funeral services set for daughter of BK Racing crew chief

Funeral services have been announced for Stephanie Rembert, daughter of BK Racing crew chief Joe Williams.

Rembert, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday, Dec. 19. Her two children, Jamie and Frankie, were also involved in the accident but suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Per Rembert’s obituary in The Charlotte Observer, she was the daughter of Cathy Schlemmer Williams and Joe Williams. She is survived by her children and husband Joshua Rembert.

She is also survived by maternal grandparents, Phil and Connie Schlemmer; paternal grandparents, Debra Duckworth and Joe Williams, Sr.; sisters, Casandra Campbell and husband, Tanner, Brittany Williams, Elizabeth Williams; mother-in-law, Tina Lucas and husband, Tim; father-in-law, Charlie Rembert; sisters-in-law, Amelia Rembert, Jessica Thomas; and brothers-in-law, TJ Lucas and Joshua Lucas.

Stephanie lived in Asheboro, North Carolina and was a licensed nurse, having attended Brunswick Community College.

Funeral services will be held this Sunday, Dec. 27, at 2:00 PM Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, 494 East Plaza Drive Highway 150, Mooresville, N.C.

Rev. Tom McCrea will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Northlake Memorial Park in Huntersville, N.C.

A wake will take place Saturday, Dec. 26, from 6 to 8 pm ET at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a GoFundMe page set up in Rembert’s memory and as a trust fund for her children.
