Chris Buescher had a busy week. After finding out he will be racing in the Sprint Cup Series in 2016 full time, Buescher hit the road to continue celebrating his Xfinity Series championship.
Buescher visited Philadelphia and New York City Sunday through Tuesday making various media appearances and seeing the sites.
The Texas native was a guest of Comcast at the Philadelphia Eagles’ game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. On Monday, he was a guest on Preston & Steve on WMMR and visited the “Rocky” steps along with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.
He capped off the day by stopping by the Bridesburg Boys and Girls Club as a part of Comcast’s relationship with the BGCA and My Future program.
Then while visiting the Big Apple on Tuesday, Buescher appeared on Sports Illustrated Now, co-hosted a SiriusXM Radio show and visited the Empire State Building and 3o Rockefeller Center.
“I really appreciate everyone from Xfinity taking me on a true VIP tour of Philadelphia and New York City,” Buescher said in a statement. “Running the Rocky Steps and learning some of the history of Philadelphia was incredible; they really provided me with an amazing experience that I won’t forget. The first year of Comcast’s involvement in the sport has been big, with an all-in approach and I know that their partnership with NASCAR will continue to help drivers like me elevate our careers and make our names known. Xfinity brought a lot to the table in 2015 and I know they’ll bring even more to the fans and drivers in 2016 and beyond.”
