Fog keeps Joey Logano from appearing on College GameDay

Logano

You can’t #BlameJJ for Joey Logano’s absence from ESPN’s College GameDay, but you can #BlameMotherNature.

Less than 12 hours after the conclusion of the Sprint Cup Awards in Las Vegas, the Team Penske driver was scheduled to appear on the program as a guest picker, giving his predictions for the weekend’s championship game slate.

But low visibility from fog kept Logano’s plane from landing in Indianapolis, which is hosting the Big Ten championship game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Michigan State Spartans. Instead of making his picks next to Lee Corso in a mascot head, Logano shared them on Twitter.

For the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte, Logano picked Clemson over North Carolina because his crew chief, Todd Gordon, attended the school.

In the AAC Championship game, Logano took the Houston Cougars over the Temple Owls due to Shell’s headquarters being located in in the city of Houston.

More of Logano’s picks:

Alabama vs Florida: Alabama

Iowa vs Michigan State: MSU

Stanford vs Southern California: USC

Texas vs Baylor: Texas

With no way to land in Indianapolis, Logano and his plane returned safely to Charlotte to continue his offseason.
