How will Kyle Larson spend Thanksgiving and much of his offseason?

STP 500 - Practice

Now that the 2015 Sprint Cup season is over, there’s nearly three months of down time for most drivers.

Not for Kyle Larson, though.

Instead of going on a lengthy vacation or just hanging around the house, Larson will spend his offseason doing, what else?

Racing, of course – and being on the road for more than 15,000 miles in the process -- between now and Jan. 31.

He kicks off his offseason season -- which he’s calling #DirtToDaytona -- on Thursday.

Instead of chowing down on a turkey, Larson will race in the annual Turkey Night Grand Prix Midget race at Perris (California) Auto Speedway.

Larson is no stranger to Perris, having won Turkey Night in 2012. So instead of passing the drumsticks, mashed potatoes or cranberries, he’ll be passing cars.
