Tracks deny report that decision to repave in 2016 has been made

Officials from Atlanta Motor Speedway and Kentucky Speedway denied a report Wednesday that a decision has been made to repave both tracks in 2016.

An official Atlanta Motor Speedway confirmed to NASCAR Talk that there are no plans at this time to repave the 1.5-mile speedway next year. The track was last repaved in 1997.

An official from Kentucky Speedway told NASCAR Talk that no decision has been made if to repave the 1.5-mile track next year. The track, which debuted in 2000, has not been repaved.
