Today’s NASCAR Xfinity race at Texas: Start time, TV info and more

FORT WORTH, Texas — The NASCAR Xfinity Series will play host Saturday to the O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Terry Meyer, owner of T&E Capital Resources, will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 3:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:46 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 200 laps (300 miles) around the 1.5-mile oval.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 8 a.m. Qualifying is at 12:15 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 1:45 p.m. Driver introductions are at 3 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed at 3:31 p.m. by Luke Wade.

TV/RADIO: NBC will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with Countdown to Green at 3 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at GoPRN.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 65 degrees at race time with a 0% chance of rain.

LAST TIME(S): On Nov. 1, 2014, Kyle Busch led the final 15 laps and beat Joey Logano. On April 10, pole-sitter Erik Jones scored his first career Xfinity victory, leading the final 50 laps and fending off Brad Keselowski.
