Denny Hamlin selling ‘Free Matt’ shirts to benefit his foundation

Free Matt

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Shortly after Matt Kenseth’s final appeal of his two-race suspension was denied, his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin tweeted a picture of himself wearing a black shirt that said "#Free Matt.”

Two days later you can purchase a slightly different version of the shirt at Hamlin’s website.

There’s no hashtag, but the shirt now bears Kenseth’s likeness along with “Free Matt.”

All proceeds from the shirt’s sale will go to the Denny Hamlin Foundation. The foundation works with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Medical University of South Carolina.

Kenseth was suspended for this weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway and next weekend at Phoenix International Raceway after he intentionally wrecked Joey Logano at Martinsville Speedway. Kenseth will return for the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
