FORT WORTH, Texas – The teams of Reed Sorenson, J.J. Yeley and Dale Earnhardt Jr. were held from Sprint Cup practice Friday for 15 minutes after being late to inspection at Martinsville Speedway last weekend.

Three teams also received written warnings this week stemming from Martinsville: Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 Toyota (failing laser inspection system twice before qualifying), Matt DiBenedetto’s No. 83 Toyota (failing laser inspection system twice before qualifying) and Brett Moffitt’s No. 34 Ford (failing laser inspection system twice before the race).

NASCAR modified its warnings policy in August so that a team that accumulates four warnings will lose the chance to pick their pit stall at the next race. It’s the second warning for Hamlin’s team.
