NASCAR announced Friday night that Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s team will have the last pick of pit stalls after receiving a fourth warning.
Teams lose their pit stall selection after each fourth warning for inspection issues. NASCAR revised its policy in August.
Earnhardt received a warning Friday after his team failed the laser inspection system during pre-qualifying inspection two times. His previous warnings came at Michigan International Speedway (failing pre-race inspection three times), Charlotte Motor Speedway (failing pre-race inspection too many times), Kansas Speedway (failing pre-race inspection twice),
Earnhardt qualified 10th for Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 and would have had the 10th pick of pit stalls. He will pit behind Greg Biffle and in front of Kurt Busch.
