Watch Live: NASCAR America 5 pm ET -- Kenseth appeal, Logano rebound

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 5 - 6 pm ET on NBCSN.

Carolyn Manno hosts with Dale Jarrett from our Stamford (Conn.) studio, while Kyle Petty and Nate Ryan will join us from from Burton’s Garage.

On today’s show:

* NASCAR America looks ahead to the appeal process for Matt Kenseth. Dale Jarrett, Kyle Petty and Nate Ryan dissect why NASCAR chose to suspend Kenseth for two races rather than one or three, and whether the penalty is too strong or too weak.

* As we continue forward toward the season-ending race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Joey Logano needs to rebound following his wreck with Kenseth at Martinsville. Diving into numbers on Logano’s past success, his potential in rebounding heading into Texas is looking up. NASCAR Talk’s Tony DiZinno spoke exclusively to Logano this morning at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

* Earlier today, Kevin Harvick and Cal Ripken Jr. teamed up and hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, unveiling a multi-purpose Youth Development Park at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Greensboro, N.C. Afterward, our Marty Snider had a chance to go 1-on-1 with Harvick.
