Joey Logano posts tweet of inspirational recording ‘I Will Fight’

A day after being wrecked by Matt Kenseth while leading at Martinsville Speedway, Joey Logano took to Twitter to inspire his fanbase.

But if one looked at the title of the recording he posted on Twitter - “I Will Fight” - it would be easy to speculate that he’s ready to finish things with Kenseth.

Before jumping to conclusions, understand this: “I Will Fight” is an inspirational recording set to music by pastor Steven Furtick, founder and lead pastor of Elevation Church in Charlotte, N.C., and a New York Times best-selling author.

Furtick’s words are played in an motivational video that depicts athletes in various sports practicing or working out.

Among Furtick’s statements in the recording are: “My battle is not against flesh and blood, but against a spiritual enemy who opposes me. So I will draw the battle lines and face my enemy with a bold determination. I will dismantle every argument and pretension that he presents which contradicts what God has spoken. My enemy fights against me because he fears me. And every time he reminds me of my past, I will remind him of his future. Every time I resist him, he must flee and every time I speak the truth, every stronghold must surrender. I will fight.’'

NASCAR has stated it is reviewing Kenseth’s actions against Logano and that a ruling could come as early as Tuesday. Kenseth’s retaliation came two weeks after contact between the drivers late in the Kansas race as they battled for the lead caused Kenseth to spin, allowing Logano to win that race.
