Justin Allgaier will drive in the NASCAR Xfinity Series next year for JR Motorsports with sponsorship from Brandt, the team announced Wednesday.

Allgaier will drive the No. 7 car. Brandt will serve as the primary sponsor in 18 races and be the associate sponsor in the remaining 15 races.

“I’m honored and excited to drive for JR Motorsports,” Allgaier said in a statement from the team. “Having the ability to come to the track every week with a car capable of winning races and ultimately run for the Xfinity Series championship is the opportunity of a lifetime. And to have the support of Brandt as we move to JR Motorsports means a lot to me, personally and professionally. It’s now time to get those Brandt colors back up front and try to bring home a championship that they so very much deserve.”

JR Motorsports stated that TaxSlayer.com, Breyers, Hellmann’s and Suave will serve as the primary sponsors for Allgaier’s car when Brandt is not in that role. The team confirmed that Jason Burdett, crew chief of the No. 7 team this year with Regan Smith, will serve in that role for Allgaier.

JR Motorsports also announced that it had a multiyear partnership with Brandt.

Allgaier was looking for a ride because he’ll lose his Sprint Cup seat at after this season to Clint Bowyer at HScott Motorsports. Bowyer will drive for that team in 2016 before moving to Stewart-Haas Racing to replace Tony Stewart in 2017.

Allgaier has three Xfinity wins in 174 career starts. He last competed in the Xfinity Series in 2013. He’s run in Cup the past two seasons.

JR Motorsports previously announced that Elliott Sadler will join the organization in 2016. The team also will field the No. 88 car again next year with a variety of drivers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne. Additional drivers for that car will be named later.
