The qualifying session will set the field for the final race of the second round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Jeff Gordon earned the poles for the Daytona 500 and spring Talladega race while Dale Earnhardt Jr. started first in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona based on practice times.
