Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is a mighty brave man.

Nearly a month after his beloved Ole Miss upset Alabama on the football field, Stenhouse will wear a Rebels-inspired helmet in this weekend’s Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway.

That takes guts, particularly since Talladega is in none other than deep in the heart (and state) of Alabama. And we bet there’s quite a few Crimson Tide fans who are still hurtin’ from the beat down Ole Miss put on their beloved Sweet Home ‘Bama.

A proud Stenhouse is looking forward to wearing a helmet inspired by the one Ole Miss wore when it stopped the Tide from rolling.

As Tyler Greenawalt of NCAA.com put it, “Stenhouse Jr.’s decision to represent Ole Miss this weekend is based on one factor: location, location, location.”

Check out some tweets about Stenhouse’s bravado:

Here’s one to NASCAR on Fox analyst Larry McReynolds:

Even Ole Miss head football coach Hugh Freeze got into the mix:
