As we pass Lap 134 of the scheduled 267 laps, Matt Kenseth is the leader at the halfway point of Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
The fifth race in the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup saw pole-sitter Brad Keselowski lead the first 28 laps but it’s been Kenseth who has dominated from that point on, leading 62 laps.
Jimmie Johnson is running second, followed by Joey Logano (has led 18 laps), Kevin Harvick (led 21 laps) and Kurt Busch.
Sixth through 10th are Austin Dillon, Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Kasey Kahne.
Of the remaining 12 Chase drivers, Carl Edwards and Jeff Gordon are furthest back in the pack – 19th and 20th, respectively.
Several drivers have had issues, including spinning out or hitting the wall. Among those: Jamie McMurray, Kyle Larson and Tony Stewart.
