Still in pursuit of his first career Xfinity Series win, Daniel Suarez took a big step towards that goal in Friday’s second practice session for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.
The Mexican driver topped the speed chart at 183.362 mph, nearly 2 mph faster than points leader Chris Buescher, who was second-fastest at 181.513 mph.
Buescher was also fastest in the first practice session earlier in the afternoon.
Kyle Busch was fourth-fastest (180.983), followed by Ty Dillon (180.838), Brendan gaughan (180.735), Regan Smith (180.517), Joey Logano (180.246), Chase Elliott (180.078) and Matt Kenseth (180.060).
