Today’s NASCAR Xfinity race at Charlotte: Start time, TV info and more

CONCORD, N.C. — The NASCAR Xfinity Series will play host Friday to the Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Lisa Cade, chief service operations officer and Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina breast cancer survivor, will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 8:07 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 8:16 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 200 laps (300 miles) around the 1.5-mile oval.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 2 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 6:15 p.m. Driver introductions are at 7:35 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed at 8:01 p.m. by the UNC Clef Hangers.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with Countdown to Green at 7:30 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at GoPRN.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 70 degrees at race time with an 15% chance of rain.

LAST TIME(S): On May 23, Austin Dillon started from the pole and led 163 of 200 laps for the victory. On Oct. 10, 2014, Brad Keselowski passed Penske teammate Ryan Blaney for the lead with 14 laps remaining and held off Kyle Busch to win.

STARTING LINEUP: Qualifying is at 4:45 p.m.
