Watch LIVE: NASCAR America at 5 pm ET: Restart zones, Stewart, Newman

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 5 to 6 pm ET on NBCSN and continues our look ahead to Saturday’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which will be televised on NBC.

Carolyn Manno hosts with Dale Jarrett from our Stamford (Conn.) studio, while Kyle Petty and Nate Ryan will be at NBC Charlotte.

Here’s what’s on today’s show:

* Restart Lines: NASCAR’s ongoing efforts to curb speeding in the restart zone continue, includes lengthening of the zone and painting more visible lines on the track to better identify the zone.

* We take a look at Tony Stewart’s career, including some of his most memorable championships moments.

* Ryan Newman has once again made it to the next round of the Chase. How is he able to continue to defy the odds?

* The four finalists for the 2015 Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award will be announced. Established in 2011 to recognize outstanding volunteers, The NASCAR Foundation and Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award presented by Nationwide has donated $700,000, impacting over 52,000 children and numerous charities across the nation.
