The second round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins Saturday night with the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Only 12 drivers remain in the Chase after Paul Menard, Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson were eliminated.
Johnson’s name is significant because the six-time Cup champion has earned a record seven wins in 28 starts at the 1.5-mile track. McMurray has two wins there.
All four drivers will still be going for the win Saturday night on NBC, but they’ll be playing spoiler to the hopes of the 12 drivers aiming to advance to the third round with a win.
How do those 12 drivers’ records compare at Charlotte?
Of the 12, six have combined for 14 points race wins at Charlotte: Jeff Gordon (six), Kevin Harvick (three), Matt Kenseth (two) and Brad Keselowksi, Kurt Busch and Carl Edwards each have one.
That leaves Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Ryan Newman and Martin Truex Jr. without victories.
Current Chase drivers have won four of the last five Charlotte races with Johnson’s win in the 2014 Coke 600 the exception.

Kurt Busch: 30 races: One win (May 2010), six top fives, eight top 10s. Average finish: 19.1. Two top-five finishes in last 10 races.
Kyle Busch: 23 races: Zero wins, 10 top fives, 14 top 10s. Finished second twice. Finished outside top 10 four times in last 17 races.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.: 31 races: Zero wins, six top fives, 12 top 10s. Finished third twice. Average finish of 19th. Finished third in May for third top-10 finish in last 13 races.
Carl Edwards: 21 races: One win (May 2015), seven top fives, 14 top 10s. Average finish of 10.8.
Jeff Gordon: 45 races: Five wins (last in 2007), 17 top fives, 24 top 10s. Average. finish of 15.4. One top-five finish in last 11 races.
