Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been named the grand marshal of the Oct. 18 Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway.
Gosselaar, who stars in the NBC comedy “Truth Be Told” that premieres Oct. 16, will give the command to start engines for the Hollywood Casino 400, which can be seen on NBC.
The Kansas race is the second round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
A press release says Gosselaar, who has been in show including “Saved By the Bell,” “NYPD Blue” and “Commander in Chief,” has a passion for a variety of sports, including golf, hockey, cycling and motorcross racing.
