Today’s Xfinity race at Dover: Start time, TV info, more

DOVER, Del. — The NASCAR Xfinity Series will play host Saturday to the Hisense 200 at Dover International Speedway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Patients of Nemours Cancer Center at DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 3:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 200 laps (200 miles) around the 1-mile concrete oval.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 7 a.m. The drivers meeting is at 12:15 p.m. Driver introductions are at 3:05 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed at 3:31 p.m. by Payton Taylor.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with Countdown to Green at 3 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at MRN.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 62 degrees at race time with a 41% chance of rain.

PAST TWO RACES: Xfinity Series points leader Chris Buescher’s most recent victory on the circuit was here May 30, leading the final 10 laps. Kyle Busch won this event Sept. 27, 2014, leading the final 101 laps after seizing the lead from pole-sitter Joey Logano.
