Rain cancels all of Friday’s track activity at Dover

DOVER, Del. – NASCAR announced that it is canceling all track activity today at Dover International Speedway because of rain.

The starting lineup for all series will be set by the rulebook. Points leader Matt Kenseth will start on the pole for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race. Xfinity points leader Chris Buescher will start on the pole for Saturday’s race. Xfinity qualifying was set to be held Saturday but was canceled to give Sprint Cup teams more practice time.

The K&N Pro Series East race has been rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET Saturday.

Saturday’s Schedule:

8 – 8:30 am – K&N Pro Series East practice

8:35 – 9:20 am – Xfinity practice (CNBC)

9:30 am – K&N Pro Series race

11- 11:50 am – Sprint Cup practice (CNBC, Motor Racing Network)

12:30 – 2:50 pm – Final Sprint Cup practice (NBCSN)

3:30 pm – Xfinity race (NBCSN)
