Chase grid entering round two of Chase for the Sprint Cup

We have reached the first elimination race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, with the playoff heading to Dover International Speedway for the AAA 400.

The obvious point of interest on Sunday afternoon will be the cutoff spot in 12th on the Chase grid. Currently sitting in 12th is Dale Earnhardt Jr. with 2057 points. What makes it even more interesting is that only one point separates Earnhardt from three other drivers.

On the front end of the Earnhardt is Jamie McMurray with 2058 points. Behind Earnhardt, tied with 2056 points, is Kyle Busch and Paul Menard.

The two drivers below the cutoff point who more than likely need wins to advance to the second round are Kevin Harvick in 15th (2034 points) and Clint Bowyer (2018 points).

Below is the up-to-date Chase grid along with clinching scenarios for every driver that hasn’t grabbed a spot in the round two.

See how the scenarios will play out Sunday at 2:30 pm ET on NBCSN.
