NASCAR penalized Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 54 Xfinity team after Kyle Busch’s winning car failed post-race inspection last weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. The car was found to be too low in all four corners.

NASCAR fined crew chief Chris Gayle $12,500 and placed him on probation though Dec. 31. NASCAR penalized J.D. Gibbs 10 car owner points for the P2 penalty. Busch is not penalized because he does not accumulate points in the Xfinity Series.

NASCAR also announced that it has penalized the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing car of Daniel Suarez for a pre-race inspection issue. The right side skirt was modified after pre-race inspection. NASCAR placed crew chief Eric Phillips and crew member John Egbert Jr. on probation through Dec. 31.
