JOLIET, Ill. – Kyle Busch led a Joe Gibbs Racing onslaught during qualifying for today’s Furious 7 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.
Busch and JGR teammates Matt Kenseth and Daniel Suarez qualified 1-2-3 in Saturday’s mid-afternoon session.
Busch took the 46th pole for his 305th career Xfinity start with a top speed of 180.959 mph, followed by Kenseth’s 180.844 mph effort and Suarez’s run of 180.542.
The three JGR drivers were the only ones to exceed 180 mph.
Ty Dillon was fourth fastest (179.922 mph), followed by Ryan Blaney (179.892), Kyle Larson (179.736), Paul Menard (179.647), points leader Chris Buescher (179.164), Regan Smith (178.974) and Ryan Reed (178.359).
The race will begin at 6 pm ET.
