Kenseth dominating at halfway point in Richmond

With 200 of the 400 scheduled laps in the books, Matt Kenseth is the halfway leader in Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Kenseth has dominated, leading 163 of the first 200 laps.

Kenseth’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch, are running second and third, respectively. Jamie McMurray is fourth, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson, Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards and pole-sitter Joey Logano.

Also of note: By taking the opening green flag, Jamie McMurray qualified for his first career berth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. McMurray is running fourth. … Tony Stewart experienced radio issues early in the race and has fallen back to 28th at the mid-point of the race. ... After qualifying 14th, Danica Patrick has fallen back to 29th. ... In his first career Sprint Cup start, Jeffrey Earnhardt -- grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt -- is running 41st, seven laps off the lead lap.
