Tonight’s NASCAR Xfinity race at Richmond


RICHMOND, Va. — The NASCAR Xfinity Series will play host Friday to the Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Troopers Mike Middleton and Myrlin Wimbish will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 7:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 7:44 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 250 laps (187.5 miles) around the 0.75-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 9:30 a.m. Qualifying is at 3:45 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Driver introductions are at 7 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by Megan Ruger at 7:31 p.m..

TV/RADIO:  NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at, starting with Countdown to Green at 7 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The site predicts 73 degrees at race time with a 0% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch started from the pole position and led every lap in this race a year ago, finishing 1.323 seconds ahead of Chase Elliott.
