Joey Logano scored his series-high fifth pole of the season for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway. It’s his seventh top-five starting spot in the past nine races.

Logano, who also started first at Richmond in the spring, earned the pole with a lap of 126.470 mph on Friday night. Matt Kenseth starts second. Jeffrey Earnhardt, nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr., makes his series debut and starts 42nd.
