Joey Logano has led 26 laps and is the halfway leader (Lap 250 of a scheduled 500 laps) of Saturday’s Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Clint Bowyer is second, followed by Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr.
Kyle Busch led 170 of the first 224 laps before Logano took the lead on Lap 225.
Pole-sitter Denny Hamlin is running sixth.
Matt Kenseth, who won at Bristol in April, saw his hopes for a season sweep end on Lap 111 when the engine in his Toyota Camry expired.
Kenseth’s bid for a third win in his last four starts fell short as he was officially declared out of the race just over 20 laps later.
Others having incidents that have left them back in the pack include Kyle Larson (running 18th) and AJ Allmendinger (running 34th).
