Truck race at Bristol resumes after delay for rain

The Camping World Truck Series’ UNOH 200 is back under way after being red flagged for 45 minutes and 50 seconds with 34 laps remaining due to rain.

The rain came while the field was under caution for a wreck involving race leader Cole Custer and the lapped truck of Spencer Gallagher with 40 laps remaining. Gallagher spun high in a turn on his own and Custer was unable to avoid him, hitting Gallagher with his right front.

Custer had led 107 laps before the incident took place.

“Looks like he just kind of spun out,” Custer told Fox Sports 1. “I was already committed to the top as far as I could go there. I couldn’t do anything, it just wouldn’t turn at all. Whatever, I don’t know. We had a great truck and I think the rain was going to fall in another two minutes, so we probably would have won the thing. Just a shame.”

Pole-sitter Kyle Busch is fifth.
