NASCAR weekend schedules at Michigan and Mid-Ohio, Friday practices through Sunday’s Sprint Cup race

Michigan International Speedway hosts the Careers For Veterans 200 Camping World Truck Series race on Saturday, followed on Sunday by the weekend’s main event, the Pure Michigan 400 Sprint Cup race.

About 170 miles southeast of MIS in Lexington, Ohio, the Xfinity Series will compete in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Here’s how the weekend shapes up at both Michigan and Mid-Ohio (all times listed are Eastern):

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14

AT MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
6 am – 7 pm – Sprint Cup garage open
10:30 am – 7 pm – Truck garage open
11 am – 1:25 pm – Sprint Cup practice (NBCSN, MRN)
1:30 pm – Sprint Cup qualifying inspection begins
1:30 pm – 2:25 pm – Truck practice (Fox Sports 1)
3 pm – 4:25 pm – Final Truck practice (Fox Sports 1 will show at 8 pm ET)
5:05 pm – Sprint Cup qualifying (NBCSN, MRN)

AT MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE
10:30 am – 7 pm – Xfinity garage open
1:30 pm – 2:25 pm – Xfinity practice (NBCSN)
3 pm – 4:25 pm – Xfinity final practice (NBC Sports Live Extra)

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 15
