TriStar Motorsports announced Friday that Blake Koch will return to the team next season. Koch, 30, has competed extensively in the Xfinity Series since 2011 and been with TriStar since 2014.
Koch enters Saturday’s Xfinity race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course 17th in the points. His best finish this season is 18th at Daytona in July and Watkins Glen last week.
The team also announced that LeafFilter will return to be the primary sponsor for Koch next season.
“I am also very excited to continue my relationship with TriStar Motorsports in 2016,’' Koch said in a statement from the team. “Mark and Kathy Smith took a chance on me two years ago, when I had very little sponsorship, so to be able to put this plan together for 2016 feels extra special.”
