Sunday’s Cheez-It 355 marked the best-career start of HScott Motorsports driver Justin Allgaier, who started 12th in his 61st Sprint Cup Series race.
The warm feelings that brought ended on Lap 38 of 90 when Allgaier’s No. 51 Brandt Chevrolet spun out of Turn 1. Allgaier was running in 19th when he was sent around by six-time series champion Jimmie Johnson.

Allgaier would run near Johnson in the late stages of the race, but no retaliation was given. Allgaier would finish 19th for his best result since the July race at Daytona.
Allgaier took to Twitter after the race to say he and Johnson were OK with each other after talking it over.
As far as @JimmieJohnson and I, we have talked and frustrations were at a high on track, but after hearing both sides, it's racing. 👍

No, we talked. Sometimes stuff happens. I don't think he knew I was inside of him. https://t.co/JCmMYLmUMM

Following the impressive weekend for Allgaier, who is in his second full season with HScott Motorsports, team owner Harry Scott told Motorsport.com the 29-year-old driver will more than likely be back in the No. 51 in 2016.
“Brandt has expressed an interest in coming back and doing what we’re doing,” Scott said. “And Justin wants to come back.
“So we’ll be able to put it back together.”
