Boris Said will do double duty this weekend at Watkins Glen International, driving in both the Xfinity and Sprint Cup races.
Said will drive the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing car in the Xfinity Series in place of Kyle Busch, who will sit out that race to limit how much stress he puts on his left foot. Busch broke the foot and his right leg in a crash at Daytona in February. Busch brakes with his left foot.
Said also will drive the No. 32 Go Green Racing Sprint Cup car this weekend. He finished 26th for the team at Sonoma in June.
This marks Said’s final Cup race for Go Green Racing this season.
“I’ve been waiting for this weekend since the checkered flag at Sonoma,’' he said in a team release. “I always feel like a little kid at Christmas time when I think about getting behind the wheel of a Cup car at Watkins Glen.’'
The 52-year-old Said will be making his third Xfinity start this season for Joe Gibbs Racing. He’s scheduled to be drive for the team in upcoming Xfinity races at Mid-Ohio and Road America.
