Matt Kenseth became the fifth driver to clinch a Chase for the Sprint Cup spot this season - as long as he starts the remaining five races.

Kenseth earned the spot after his win Sunday at Pocono Raceway. Kenseth grabbed the lead on the final lap after Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch - seeking to win his fourth consecutive race - ran out of fuel. Kenseth scored his second Cup victory of the season.

Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kurt Busch previously clinched Chase spots.

The 16-driver Chase will be set after the Sept. 12 race at Richmond International Raceway. There are 10 drivers who have won a race this season and are Chase eligible. Kyle Busch also has won but is not yet Chase eligible. He is 13 points out of 30th in the points, which would make him Chase eligible with his four victories.

Denny Hamlin clinched a spot in the top 30 in points, fulfilling a requirement to be Chase eligible. Others who previously clinched a spot in the top 30 in points are Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr., and Brad Keselowski. They have yet to officially clinch a Chase spot.
