Today’s NASCAR Xfinity race at Indianapolis: Start time, TV information and more

INDIANAPOLIS — The NASCAR Xfinity Series will race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the fourth time with Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Jennifer Pferrer, American Diabetes Association Executive Director, Indiana/Kentucky area and a guest will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 3:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:49 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 100 laps (250 miles) around the 2.5-mile speedway.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 9:30 a.m., and qualifying will be held at 11:35 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 11 a.m. Driver introductions is at 3 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by Kathy Sego at 3:31 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBC will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with a prerace show at 3 p.m. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network will broadcast the race on radio. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the radio broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 86 degrees at race time with a 0% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Ty Dillon took the lead on the final restart with 24 laps to go and went on to score his first career Xfinity Series victory. Kyle Busch finished second.
