Not only will it be a busy weekend for Chase Elliott, it may also be a very lucrative weekend, as well.
Elliott, who seeks to qualify for Sunday’s Brickyard 400, will be one of four drivers vying for the $100,000 first prize in the Dash4Cash challenge during Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Also battling for the big payout will be Elliott’s JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith, points leader Chris Buescher and Brendan Gaughan. Whoever finishes highest wins the bonus and qualifies for the next Dash4Cash event, which will be next month at Bristol Motor Speedway. The series concludes in September at Darlington Raceway.
Smith won the first of four Dash4Cash races last month at Dover.
Elliott is second in the standings, 31 points behind Buescher. Smith is fourth in standings, 59 points behind Buescher. Gaughan is eighth in the standings, 117 points behind Buescher.
