Hendrick Motorsports dominated Friday’s second Sprint Cup practice, with three of its four drivers over both 181 mph and among the top six speeds of the session.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. had the fastest speed at 181.466 mph, teammate Kasey Kahne was third-fastest (181.408 mph) and defending Brickyard 400 winner Jeff Gordon was sixth-fastest at 181.189 mph.
Rounding out the top five were Brad Keselowski, second-fastest at 181.448 mph, fourth-fastest Kyle Larson at 181.378 mph and fifth-fastest Clint Bowyer at 181.331 mph.
The fourth and final Hendrick driver, six-time Sprint Cup champ Jimmie Johnson, was 11th fastest (180.068 mph).
The third and final Sprint Cup practice session was set for 4 pm ET this afternoon, with qualifying slated for Saturday.
