Wednesday marks the third anniversary of NASCAR’s return to racing on dirt in the annual 1-800-CarCash Mud Summer Classic at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio (northwest of Dayton).
Austin Dillon took his Chevrolet truck to Victory Lane in the inaugural race at Tony Stewart’s dirt short track just northwest of Daytona, Ohio, in 2013. Darrell Wallace Jr. won last year’s race in his Toyota.
Everything from practice to qualifying to the actual main event takes place on race day, making for a rather long day.
