Friday schedule for Xfinity, Sprint Cup at Kentucky Speedway

Friday will be a busy day for Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series teams at Kentucky Speedway.

There will be two Sprint Cup practices and qualifying, while the Xfinity Series has qualifying and the Kentucky 300 race in the evening.

Here’s how Friday’s schedule shapes up:

FRIDAY, JULY 10

9 a.m. – Xfinity garage open
9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
– Sprint Cup garage open
10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Sprint Cup practice (NBCSN coverage begins at 11:30 a.m., entire session can be seen online on NBC Sports Live Extra)
2:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup qualifying inspection begins
3:45 p.m. – Xfinity qualifying (NBCSN) -- Session canceled
5:45 p.m. – Sprint Cup qualifying (NBCSN, Performance Racing Network) -- Session canceled

6:25 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup practice session added. Session must end by this time. Session will start when track is dry.

6:45 p.m. – Xfinity driver/crew chief meeting
7 p.m. – Xfinity driver introductions
7:30 p.m. –Kentucky 300 Xfinity Series race (200 laps, 300 miles) (NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)
