NASCAR weekend schedule at Kentucky: Thursday practices through Saturday’s Sprint Cup race

NASCAR returns to Kentucky Speedway this week with all three national touring series in action.

Thursday will feature two Xfinity Series practices, Truck qualifying and the UNOH 225 Truck Series race.

Friday will have two Sprint Cup practices, Xfinity qualifying and the Kentucky 300 Xfinity race.

Saturday night will be the main event, the Quaker State 400 Sprint Cup race.

Here’s the schedule (all times listed are Eastern):

THURSDAY, JULY 9

6:30 a.m. – Truck garage open
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Sprint Cup garage open
8 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. – Final Truck practice (Fox Sports 1 coverage begins at 9 am ET)
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. -- Sprint Cup practice (rescheduled from Wednesday)
11 a.m. – 7 p.m. – Xfinity garage open
2 – 3:25 p.m. – Xfinity practice (NBCSN)
4 – 4:55 p.m. – Final Xfinity practice (NBCSN)
5:15 p.m. – Truck qualifying (Fox Sports 2)
6:40 p.m. – Truck driver/crew chief meeting
7 p.m. – Truck driver introductions
7:30 p.m. – UNOH 225 Truck race (150 laps, 225 miles) (Fox Sports 1, Motor Racing Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)

FRIDAY, JULY 10

9 a.m. – Xfinity garage open
9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
– Sprint Cup garage open
10:30 – 11:55 a.m. – Sprint Cup practice (NBCSN coverage begins at 11:30 a.m., entire session can be seen online on NBC Sports Live Extra)
1 – 2:25 p.m. – Final Sprint Cup practice (NBCSN)
2:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup qualifying inspection begins
3:45 p.m. – Xfinity qualifying (NBCSN)
5:15 p.m. – Xfinity driver/crew chief meeting
5:45 p.m. – Sprint Cup qualifying (NBCSN, Performance Racing Network)
7 p.m. – Xfinity driver introductions
7:30 p.m. –Kentucky 300 Xfinity Series race (200 laps, 300 miles) (NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)

SATURDAY, JULY 11

1:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup garage open
5:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup driver/crew chief meeting
6:55 p.m. – Driver introductions
7:30 p.m. – Quaker State 400 race (267 laps, 400.5 miles) (NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)
