Jimmie Johnson leads at halfway point of Coke Zero 400 at Daytona

Jimmie Johnson leads at the halfway point of Sunday night’s 160-lap Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

At the start of Lap 81, Matt Kenseth is running second, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin.

Earnhardt has led the most laps (41), followed by Johnson (28).

Among things that have happened in the first 80 laps:

* The scheduled 8:08 pm ET start of the race was delayed by more than 3 ½ hours due to rain. The race finally got underway at 11:42 pm ET.

* It took just three laps before the first big wreck of the night, involving nine cars: Sam Hornish Jr., Danica Patrick, David Gilliland, Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Joey Logano, Jeb Burton, Bobby Labonte and Michael Annett.

* Kyle Busch lost control of his car and was involved in a single-car wreck on Lap 17. He missed 12 laps while his Toyota was repaired, returning to the track on Lap 29.

* Carl Edwards also had a one-car spin on Lap 53, suffering minor damage after making contact with the inside retaining wall.
