In his fifth race after returning from injuries that sidelined him for nearly three months, Kyle Busch won Sunday’s Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway for his first win since March 2014.

Kurt Busch took second as the Busch brothers posted their first 1-2 finish in the Sprint Cup Series. Clint Bowyer finished third, earning Michael Waltrip Racing its first top-five finish of the season.

Rounding out the top five were Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano.

Pole-sitter AJ Allmendinger finished 37th, 12 laps down after experiencing a fuel cell problem.

Kyle Busch missed the first 11 races of the Cup season after suffering a broken right leg and fractured left foot in the Xfinity Series season opener Feb. 21 at Daytona International Speedway.
