Richard Childress Racing announced Wednesday that it is swapping crew chiefs between two of its NASCAR Xfinity Series teams.

Nick Harrison becomes Ty Dillon’s crew chief with the No. 3 team, while Danny Stockman moves to the No. 33 team that has primarily featured Austin Dillon this season. Paul Menard and Brandon Jones also have driven the No. 33 car this season.

The moves are effective immediately.

“Like many teams this time of year, we are making some mid-season personnel changes to improve the overall performance of our teams this season,” said Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing in a statement. “This will also give us an opportunity to get an early look at what our personnel lineup might look like for the 2016 season.”

Ty Dillon is second in the Xfinity standings, 29 points behind Chris Buescher but is winless and has three top-five finishes and 10 top-10 results in 14 starts. Austin Dillon has two Xfinity wins and eight top-five finishes in 11 starts this season in the No. 33 car.
