After several disappointing finishes of coming up short, Erik Jones reached back and channeled last year’s win at Iowa Speedway to make it two in a row at the 7/8-mile track, capturing Friday’s American Ethanol 200 Camping World Truck Series race.
Jones dominated, starting from the pole and leading 112 of the event’s 200 laps.
Jones will travel about 250 miles east to try and make it a weekend sweep in Saturday night’s Owens Corning Atticat 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.
