Ty Dillon is looking forward to getting down and dirty once again.

The Xfinity Series driver confirmed Friday that he’ll take part in the Mudsummer Classic Camping World Truck Series race July 22 at Eldora Raceway in Rossburg, Ohio.

“I’m excited to go back’’ Dillon said Friday at Pocono Raceway, where he’ll compete in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.

Dillon will drive the No. 33 truck for Gallagher Motorsports at Eldora.

This will be Dillon’s third consecutive run at Eldora, and he hasn’t forgotten what happened to him last year.

He had a good chance to win, but was penalized one lap for pitting for fuel too early, relegating him to an eventual fifth-place finish.

“I’ve got a little revenge to get back,” Dillon said. “We should have probably won that race. We were really fast there last year.

“I’m looking forward to it. That is a great time. It’s a fun week because you go there and then you go to Indianapolis (for the Brickyard 400 weekend). Two really unique, cool places.”

This will be the third annual race at Eldora in the Camping World Truck Series.

Dillon’s older brother, Austin, won the inaugural event in 2013, the first regular season NASCAR race contested on dirt in more than 40 years. Ty finished 16th in that race.

Darrell Wallace Jr. won last year’s event.

The younger Dillon brother is currently second in the Xfinity Series, which is off this weekend. Dillon trails series leader Chris Buescher by 15 points.
