Even though they’re separated by over 1,500 miles, it’s going to be a busy day on Friday for NASCAR in both the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania and deep in the heart of Texas.
At Pocono Raceway, NASCAR kicks off the first of its three-day weekend leading up to Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.
Meanwhile, at Texas Motor Speedway, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will have afternoon qualifying and then take part in the Winstar World Casino 400 in the evening.
Here’s how the schedule for Friday looks at both venues:
POCONO RACEWAY SCHEDULE
7 am – 6:30 pm – Sprint Cup garage open
12 pm – 1:25 pm – Cup practice (Fox Sports 1/Motor Racing Network)
1:30 pm – Cup qualifying inspection begins
4:45 pm – Cup qualifying(Fox Sports 1/MRN)
TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY SCHEDULE
1 pm – Truck garage open
6:15 pm – Truck qualifying (Fox Sports 1)
7:30 pm – Truck driver/crew chief meeting
8:30 pm – Trucks on grid on front stretch (single-file)
8:40 pm – Driver introductions
9 pm – Winstar World Casino 400 Camping World Truck Series race (167 laps, 250.5 miles) (Fox Sports 1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)
