NASCAR fined JR Motorsports crew chief Joe Shear Jr. $6,000 and placed him on probation through Dec. 31 and docked owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. 10 points after the Camping World Truck Series vehicle Kasey Kahne won with last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway failed post-race inspection.

The team keeps the victory.

NASCAR cited the team for P2 penalty and violating the following sections:

12.1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing

20.17.3.3.2: Top Splitter Shelf Heights. Vehicle did not meet the minimum post-race splitter height.

Kahne nipped Erik Jones for the victory. The win came in the second career series start for JR Motorsports. The margin of victory was .005 seconds - tying for second closest in series history.
