Among NASCAR drivers, Danica Patrick is one of the more active users of Twitter. Not only does she interact with her fellow drivers, she also engages with fans.

Patrick began a unique contest today (May 15) sponsored by Comcast Xfinity that should get those fans – and maybe even some of her fellow drivers – tweeting even more.

The contest, which runs only four days until Tuesday, May 19, works like this:

* Patrick tweeted a message with the hashtag #SignMyTweet from her personal Twitter account (@DanicaPatrick), encouraging her fans to enter the contest.

* Fans who then tweet Patrick @Xfinity Racing (but NOT at her personal account) and include the hashtag #SignMyTweet in their message to her, will automatically be entered in the unique contest.

Winners will receive a special oversized copy of their original tweet along with Patrick’s autograph. Patrick will choose the winning tweets live, print them out and sign them on Tuesday, May 19, from 2-4 pm ET, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Winning fans will then receive their prizes in the mail.

“The #SignMyTweet program is another great example of how XFINITY is providing more access to NASCAR fans,” Patrick said in a statement. “Our fans are truly the best in sports, and this will be an exciting and unique way for me to show my appreciation to some of them.”

Added Matt Lederer, Senior Director of Sports Brand Marketing for Comcast Cable, “Danica is not only one of the most celebrated stars in motorsports, but also in pop culture, which makes her a great addition to the event’s celebrity roster. We’re excited to give NASCAR fans the opportunity to engage with Danica.”
